This is not perl related question.

When I boot my Linux system is not getting boot up it says the following error message.

VFS:Cannot open device "1603" or 16:03
please append a correct "root=" boot option
kernel panic : VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 16:03
Spurious 8259A interrupt : IRQ7

Please help me where can be the problem ?
