I'm learning Perl and from what I've read, Moose is the way for OO nowadays. However, I'm a bit curious about the "_postmodern_ object system" tagline.

What does it mean? Was there a _modern_ object system in Perl at some time? What about Modern Perl, should it not use Moose yet? :)
