I find the following options from the Display Settings nodelet quite useful:

In reply to Re: "readmore" tags in "preview" by alexm

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post, it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":
