In general, I'd like to see some list of 'special' nodes that are available to the public (eg non-gods). A partial list is in this node about PM display issues, but I'm sure there are more. As some of the more useful nodes like Message Inbox, Best Nodes, and Super Search are not directly linked by the front page or commonly-visited nodes, one can tend to forget about them.

And yes, a changelog node would also be a nice thing to have, at least as to find new features that wouldn't necessarily be a special node (eg the latest Google thing).
