I am having the same problem, but I doubt if it has something to do with the password change, because things kept on working as before.

It is only over the past few days (perhaps a week) that www.perlmonks.org *sometimes* does not recognize me anymore. I checked the cookie and its eeems OK with its expiry set 10 years into the future.

I will try ikegami's suggestion and see if that solves the issue.

PS: FWIW I'm on Windows XP Professional and use FireFox 3.5.3.
