We're aware more than some people are holding their breath waiting for an official announcement about YAPC::Europe's dates, but we still can't.

Let me explain better:

• It's true our target dates are August, 4th-6th. This is due to various reasons: convenient temporal distance from other important OS conferences like OSCON, informal investigations with some guest speakers, and so on
• In order to hit these target dates – and after some issues with the first (and second!) venue we put our eyes on – we're working on obtaining a final commit from another venue. Without going through all the details, we can say we're close to obtain it, and finally publishing the official dates
