In the end I guessed the following: 


  $rule_C->path;
  
  $rule_C-> (length >= 250 );
  
  my @files_C = $rule_C->in( @subdirs );
  
  foreach(@files_C){
    print OUT_FH_C "$_";
    print OUT_FH_C "\n";
  }

I don't know if it is working or not, however it has not produced any error messages.
