Try using MacPerl::Ask() with perl 5.
For online man pages (pod pages really) use the Shuck application that comes with MacPerl. Note that under Shuck's helpful pull down menu all the pod pages have been re-titled to single descriptive words like "Functions" that do not map directly into the pod page name. You want the Mac Specfic features document.
