Dear Perl Monks I am looking as to how to convert FCS binary to ascii text, I thought someone would have this already done as there are numerous versions on the windows OS but I need it on the linux system via perl. for example this program can do it on windows: http://research.stowers-institute.org/efg/ScientificSoftware/Utility/FCSExtract/index.htm#Alternative there is an example of binary data and the text conversion here: http://research.stowers-institute.org/efg/ScientificSoftware/Utility/FCSExtract/FCSExtract-TestData.ZIP the standard format is shown here: http://web.archive.org/web/20041012203416/http://www.isac-net.org/resources/fcs3.htm I tried days with all different programs and searches but have not come up with anything. Many thanks for you help..... Bows.
