This should be basic, but somehow I can't find the right search term to get me an answer on google.
I have a text file with some weird characters. In particular a dash ("-") that is double-long. For ages I thought I was losing my mind that
if ($word =~ /-/) { ...
would not execute when I could see the dash myself. So how does one find out what this stupid thing is, and how to regex for it?
