And JUST FOR YOUR INFORMATION RUNRIG>.please do not comment without knowing.. It is a part of a bigger problem.. And is not a homework problem.. If you do not know or do not want to post you are free not to.. But trying not to help a person by assuming it to be a homework does not seem to help anybody...

And yeah for other users it definitely is not a homework problem or so...

i am really struck on how to approach.. I was thinking using vertex cover algo would be a good solution however not sure how to code using that.. The data we are talking about here is like 1 - 2 gb.. So looking at efficient solution..

Yary -- I dont think a homework problem would be this complicated.. And well if there is no effort being taken i wouldnot be looking at idea and try to use it for the 2 gb data.. Thanks for the help whoever has tried to help.. And thanks to the others for their "great words of assumption "
