I'm trying to use DBI to connect to a 64-bit Oracle database. The default Perl installation for my server is 32-bit, but I can run my script with a 64-bit installation if I change PERL5LIB in my .profile and either change the perl location in my script (after #!) or run the script on the command line with the full path to 64-bit perl.

Is there any way to run the script using 64-bit perl on my webserver without help from the admin, given that the default is 32-bit? I'm guessing not... specifying the 64-bit location in @INC and $ENV{PERL5LIB} within the script didn't work (unsurprisingly).

Thanks...
