Hi, monks.
Still a beginner at this stuff, so I need to borrow your wisdom. I to find the nth number of the fibonacci sequence using a subroutine. Problem is, I can already get it fine without a subroutine, and I can't figure out a way to get it with a subroutine without messing up my code. By the way, I don't know if I did this right.
use warnings;
use strict;
my $x = 0;
my $y = 1;
my $third = 0;
my $count;
print "Enter the number you would like to see in the sequence: ";
my $number = <STDIN>;
for ($count = 1; $count<=$number; $count++) {
$third = $x + $y;
$x = $y;
$y = $third;
}
print $y;
Excuse my incorrect spacing.
Thanks for the help!
