You and I share many of the same concerns. I'd thought there were more than enough Test:: modules, but no combination seems to meet all my goals.

I'm now writing Test::Ranger to address issues much like yours. If you'd like to work with me on it, please let me know. I won't force you into writing code but you'd be very helpful as a representative customer.
