I would like to inform you that
almut passed away recently due to
a tragic accident. She was caught by a sudden thunderstorm while climbing
an exposed ridge in the Swiss Alps. According to an eyewitness, she
was struck by lightning, then tumbled and slid down a steep scree field.
She died on the way to the hospital on August 24.
My apologies if this is inappropriate or posted in the wrong section, but
as she spent a lot of time in this forum, I thought you might want to know.
Her SO and best friend,
Riccarda
I'll also put a notice on her profile, for anyone who knew her but
doesn't happen to see this post. (I have her credentials, as she left
her master passphrase in a sealed envelope for cases like these. This
should also be sufficient proof I am her SO and this is no bad joke.)
