If this behavior can be verified, I cordially suggest that it be added to the FAQ.Parse::RecDescent::FAQ is no longer written to. I simply run a Google Alert and bookmark the relevant threads I find with a delicious tag.
Really all I ever did with the FAQ was aggregate and regurgitate mailing list and forum threads and spend time making them more presentable. I think it makes things easier to find than googling frantically for hours, so I keep it up.
