I haven't been doing any perl code for ... well, quite a long time (actually i wonder if it was not perl 4 at that time O_° !)
As I needed a small script (that would call a webservice, parse the answer and download a file), I decided I would use perl (for fun & challenge ;-) ! ... ok, and portability and maintanability and so on) ... even if that meant a few days/hours more, to remember how perl worls ...
... and it took way LESS time than expected, thanks to perlmonks - so useful, full of so helpful people, so well organized ....
