I've taken this video course a couple of times now and have kept my subscription to the site going just to rewatch certain chapters.

Perl 5 Essential Training with Bill Weinman. It came out last spring (4/2010) and is about 7 hours. Almost the entire course is a screen cast where you can just code along with him. *(My preferred way to learn.)
