i'm looking to take in an audio stream on my sound card, digitize it, and put it into a database. i'm looking to take in psk data from a radio to my sound card and decode it.
i've found Audio::DSP, Audio::OSS and Audio::PortAudio. however, these either don't help here or i don't know how to deal with a data stream properly.
btw, beside cpan, these are the only useful resources i've found:

Can perl read a byte from a microphone stream ?
while this later is almost it, i can't figure out how to read the binary data i want... i'm hoping that there is a way of doing this without threads (cause i don't know threads).
i'm not finding many resources on this. can anyone help with useful reading or examples?
