Hello fellow programmers, I was wondering if anyone
could tell me why i seem to be able to use this syntax :
if (($words[1] eq 0) or ($words[1] =~ /s_/) or
($words[1] =~ /jkbrb/) or ($words[1] =~ /adiode/) or
($words[1] =~ /jkbrb/) or ($words[1] =~ /buftd/) or
($words[1] =~ /bh01d1/) or ($words[1] =~ /cload1/))
but not this line:
if ($words[1] =~ /^\/)
is "\" a special character? is there any way to make it so that i can use it? quotes? etc?
i had thought about parsing through and removing the first letter of the string and storing it-- then going through and seeing if they were "\"'s.
But i wasn't sure if it would give me the same problem. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!!
