Does your VB macro work, in the sense of changing the color?
If yes, then Use The Macro Recorder, Luke (Re: Using Win32::OLE and Excel - Tips and Tricks).
If no, then you will have to read the MSDN Microsoft Office Object Model and find out how to change the color in a Chart series.
If you're asking about whether Excel can change the colour of a chart series - this is Perlmonks, not Excelmonks.
