Hello monks, I have a question for you

Why is it, that if someone writes a completely useless tool to write perl in Klingon, people are all over it and want to know all about it, and yet, I have written a very simple little abstraction schema which saves me huge amounts of effort and time but, horror of horrors, uses just 2 .. yes just 2.. non-standard types of tag delimiters, and a couple of simple processing rules people want to tell me that:

a) they don't get it

b) they don't want it

and

c) I should just stick to the standards they already know about, and or I am not listening to their advice.

Why is that?
