You must be aware that there is not a single line of Perl code in the site you posted. They are the instructions to build a somewhat complex API to the Biomart system (among other things). If you are new to Perl, you should start from the beginning (see the previous answers to your post). Your first step is definitely to be comfortable with Perl.

I hope you enjoy the journey... as I did. And don't hesitate to post here when you feel stuck in a dead-end.
