I didn't say it was better than Higher Order Perl I was just pointing out one of the upshots of the syntax rules implements a useful trick which is something very similar to one of Mark's examples.
The fact that my engine uses strings and evals is entirely down to the fact that I don't know how to write a proper compiler. Said deficiency in my computer science knowledge is the reason why I am here in the first place. With a proper compiler, there is no reason why the syntax of aXML cannot be just as efficient as any other programming language syntax.
Please don't dismiss the concept because the alpha state implementation is not production ready.
