The quoted sentence was written without any qualifiers or disclaimers (as if everybody prefers that sentiment).

So, why does it need prefacing? Is it not obvious DrHyde is speaking?

And I disagree, it wasn't written as if everybody prefers that sentiment

Besides, the statement is obvious true, just like :
Keeping related things nearby is Good, separating related things is Bad
Keeping pennies in a jar is Good, separating pennies in toilets is Bad
Keeping condoms in refrigerator is Good, separating condoms in bathroom is Bad.
