Since it's come up lately a lot on the forums... here's a Poll for what would be a bunch of new names for Perl 6...
Other Alternative names for Perl 6...
Perl++
- As C is to C++, so are the days of our lives.
Pirl
- The next vowell after "e", same pronounciation...
Lerp

Perlex
- Perl's Ex Lover...
Perlican
- Pelican, hey it's an animal.
Perlium
- Sounds like a newly discovered element on the periodic table.
Pern
- Mascot could be a dragon, might get sued by Anne MacCaffrey...
Pert
- Mascot could be a young girl
Perv
- Mascot could be an overweight, adult, with a skin condition, living in his parent's basement.
Perj
- Prounounced Purge, as in a purge of the old Perl but still kinda perly.
Perly
- It's a Perly language...
Perk
- Using this language has its perks...
Perm
- (already mentioned) "m" is the next letter after "l"; mascot would be a frizzy hairdo.
Prel

Pretzel
- because it just works...
