Have you checked whether the web site works with Javascript disabled? Have you looked at what WWW::Mechanize has to say about Javascript support?

There are alternatives, like WWW::Scripter (with Javascript::Engine) and Win32::IEMechanize and my module, WWW::Mechanize::Firefox.
