Problem while trying to use JSON.

My DeskTop OS Info:

Perl @INC : Shows perl5 as well as perl5.10.1
##############################################

/etc/perl 
/usr/local/lib/perl/5.10.1 
/usr/local/share/perl/5.10.1 
/usr/lib/perl5 
/usr/share/perl5 
/usr/lib/perl/5.10
/usr/share/perl/5.10
/usr/local/lib/site_perl.

After i installed JSON-2.53.tar.gz 
I can see that JSON.pm and JSON directory got created under
/usr/local/share/perl/5.10.1
and backportPP.pm under
/usr/local/share/perl/5.10.1/JSON
##############################################
my test.pl is as below.

#!/usr/bin/perl
  use JSON;
##############################################
after running ./test.pl
I get the error as below

Can't locate JSON/backportPP.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /etc/perl /usr

Please be advised that i could run all other modules thru my perl scri
+pts including DBI, connecting by mySQL.

I am not sure what is wrong while using JSON module though.

Any Clue would be appreciated.
