I am running an NT 4.0 server service pack 6 box with the latest active perl on it. I am using a program called MRTG (multi-router traffic grapher) that uses SNTP to graph bandwidth of routers on our network. The program has been working for about 8 months now, and yesterdayi rebooted the machine, and tryed to start up the MRTG and Dr. Watson gives this error:

An application error has occurred and an application error log is being generated. PERL.EXE Exception: access violation (0xc0000005), Address: 0x00460041

When i use perl for most anything else it works great, but for some reason it always gives this access violation now. I thought the perl binary could have gotten corrupted so i removed it and reinstalled it. When i do the query manually it seems to give this fault when writing output to a disk, however when i redirect it to STDOUT, it gives the error still. I was just curious if anyone has had this problem before? What could have caused it, my code is solid and has been working for a while, i don't know how a reboot could cause such problems.
