The Math::Combinatorics module facilitates combination generation but is it capable of generating more complex pattern? For example, given a set (a b c d e f g), is there any convenient way to generate lists with a parameter of "k: maximum number of elements to use", say, 3,
to give lists like:
ab c d e f g
a b c d e f g
abc d ef g
aef cdg b
etc.
