How can I convert a symbolic reference to a real reference without saying no strict "refs"?

E.g. to get a reference to the @ISA array for $class:

my $isa = $class . "::ISA"; # Sym ref "Foo::ISA" no strict "refs"; $isa = \ @$isa; # Real ref \ @Foo::ISA
but turning off strict refs violates perlcritic's Perl::Critic::Policy::TestingAndDebugging::ProhibitNoStrict policy, which makes me wonder if there's a "right" way to do it.

The clever way is:

$isa = *$isa{ARRAY};
but that still requires no strict "refs".

I know I could mark up the dodgy code so perlcritic would ignore it but I don't want dodgy code.
