Well you can easily find solution for this from http://search.cpan.org/~jmcnamara/Excel-Writer-XLSX-0.51/lib/Excel/Writer/XLSX/Examples.pm and also for reading and writing records to excel file I think http://search.cpan.org/dist/Spreadsheet-WriteExcel/lib/Spreadsheet/WriteExcel.pmis the most appropriate.
