What's your point actually? You give one little example, using one function of a large, but no so great, module with a gazillion functions. Sure, the example as you give it doesn't save you much in keystrokes. But you can't make a general case about using modules or not based on a single example.

It's like arguing doesn't need elevators because it's easier to step off the side walk on the pavement than using an elevator to do the same.
