set_visible method in WWW::Mechanize

Justlearing has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I am getting the following error when I try to call the set_visible method of Mechanize: "Cannot locate object method set_visible via package WWW::Mechanize." I can't seem to figure out why I am getting this error. I am calling the method to log in to a web site that has a simple user name and password interface. Any help would be very appreciated.

What version of WWW::Mechanize are you using? set_visible() was added in 0.72.	[reply]

I installed WWW::Mechanize by using ppm in activePerl. Will this install the most recent version of Mech or do I need to do something different to get the version that includes the set_visible method? Thank you so much for your help.	[reply]

I just installed WWW::Mechanize with ppm and it installed 0.72. I'm running AS Perl 5.8.3 and I didn't check what version would be installed under 5.6.1. Perhaps now would be a good time for you to post the code that doesn't work so that we can try to help.	[reply]
