catfood, You do not need Red Hat. Solaris 8 comes with rpm2cpio. `$ rpm2cpio perl-XML-XPath-1.13-alt4.src.rpm \| cpio -iv perl-XML-XPath. +spec $ rpm2cpio perl-XML-XPath-1.13-alt4.src.rpm \| cpio -iv perl-XML-XPath- +1.13-alt-fixes.patch $ rpm2cpio perl-XML-XPath-1.13-alt4.src.rpm \| cpio -iv XML-XPath-1.13. +tar.bz2` [download] You can find out more info here.
