I   never   understood,

why   people   take   so   much   fun   in

filling   up   their   screens   with

whitepace.



Is   it   because   they   are   ashame   of

their   code?



Or   can   there   be   any   other   reason?



At   first   I   guessed   it   was   because

of   the   big   screens   that   give   you

160   lines   and   columns,   but   then   I

noticed   that   people   also   cared   about

these   old   72   column   devices

                one   of   theese

                in   the   museum   once

                ),

so   this   cannot   be   the   reason,   too.



I'm   puzzled.
