Since all members of the cabal can read each others wikis, we now have a convenient nodelet which lists all those wikis. Cabal members can go to Nodelet settings to turn it on. (The rest will just have to ignore this announcement and pretend everything is hunkydory.. )

Oh.. and it also shows if recent changes have been made, similar to the other nodelet links to wikis..

I know this isn't neccesarily related but if there was a personal wiki nodelet that would be cool. Like the personal nodelet but letting you edit its content and use regular PM code tags. Just and idea.

You already have two froms of personal wiki on Perlmonks: Your individual home node, and your scratchpad. Both accept all PerlMonks accepted tags. Both have 64kb of storage space. Both can be linked to from your personal nodelet if you wish.

I thought the idea behind a wiki was that anyone (well , that would be any registered PM user, here) could change it? That is not possible with either your personal nodelet or your scratchpad.

Now there's an idea... what if people could not only make their scratchpad public, but have the option to make it publically editable too, for a selection of users? It would be like a common scratchpad for a discussion on the Chatterbox, started by one particular user, instead of people now each using their own scratchpad.

        It's just a rough idea.

Thanks, castaway. I have very few nodelets turned on; it's nice to see a new one introduced that I would actually use. (Not criticizing the existence of all the other nodelets, just that to me it seems excess clutter to show them on every page.)
Ooh, there's an idea: a special page dedicated to hold just your personal choice of nodelets. It's like your own personal frontpage, but without the clutter of the posts. ;-)
