Well, you might try to untar it, and on error assume the upload isn't completed. (Skimming the Archive::Tar docs doesn't show a seperate "test this archive" method.)

    I did not see your post in time.

    I was also searching in Arch::Tar for testing the archive , but no success unfortunatly. I wish my perl knowlege was higher at the moment :(
