I always thought that this would be a good way of writing apps, but after I wrote mine I realised... nah. It's a bit too clunky. It needs a strong widget command language. Some of this promised .NET stuff looks interesting.

What I've found is that using PerlScript as your events language instead of JavaScript makes things a lot nicer. Granted, you don't get to register new events, but it's still really nice. (You need an ActiveX-enabled browser, but that's usually available.) ------ We are the carpenters and bricklayers of the Information Age. For cases of moderate complexity it's enough to use basic type of form controls HTML provides. For more complex ones - it will be possible to write complex widgets (since .NET is able to).	[reply]
