Consider one of the BSDs. NetBSD runs on *anything*.

Update: I'm running FreeBSD on a PII at work, not sure the speed. No problems with KDE. "make install /usr/ports/foo/bar" is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Just don't expect to do ARP poisoning undetected. =)
