Great, now I'm going to be all maudlin and pine for my old car whenever I write perl...

    Of course, it's not really all that funny or insightful. I much prefer this classic. However, of all the numerous version of it, I can't find a single Perl mention.

    ++ to the best way to shoot yourself in the foot in Perl.

      That's a tough one. Maybe perl is a souped-up DeLorean, with your crazy uncle "Doc" CPAN always ready to add a new part or addition (flux capacitor, HTML::Mason, whatever). Plus, it flies while the rest use the ground. :)
