Great, now I'm going to be all maudlin and pine for my old car whenever I write perl...

The challenge before us, what other languages and cars match up? Please extinguish all smoking material and check all weapons before entering the arena.

    In the great Perl tradition of not reinventing the wheel...

    Of course, it's not really all that funny or insightful. I much prefer this classic. However, of all the numerous version of it, I can't find a single Perl mention.

    ++ to the best way to shoot yourself in the foot in Perl.

      That's a tough one. Maybe perl is a souped-up DeLorean, with your crazy uncle "Doc" CPAN always ready to add a new part or addition (flux capacitor, HTML::Mason, whatever). Plus, it flies while the rest use the ground. :)
