You can do it with a regex, by anchoring to the beginning and end of string, and quoting any metacharacters, like so:

  grep /^\Q$ARGV\E$/, @serv;
[download]

Or, how I would do it, with eq:

  grep $_ eq $ARGV, @serv;
[download]
