in reply to How did Perl become part of your life ?

Monastery sections are chartered with broad latitude. Seekers of Perl Wisdom is for questions. Meditations is for thoughtful discussion, Perlish insight, and teaching moments. Categorized Questions and Answers is for FAQ-like posts, and Tutorials is for ...tutorials.

Monastery sections aren't added willy-nilly whenever a new narrowly defined topic emerges. We wouldn't devote a section to open or sorting, for example. Sections must be kept broad.

Dedicating an entire section to a discussion that most people are only mildly passionate about, and for which I can't imagine anyone posting more than once, is not what Monastery sections are for. It is, at best, a discussion thread that may recur occasionally. And the fact that it's a thoughtful discussion about Perl, such a thread would belong in Meditations.
