I can understand that dotter's sentiment; I like not having to do those things. However, that is for a one-shot script or non-production code. For the important things, you bet your bippy that I use strict and -w.

But heck, don't worry about /. too much. While it can be an informative site, the signal-to-noise ratio is almost as bad as a sociology class.
