Any time you switch to a different Perl, you have to recompile mod_perl. You can use "strings" on your httpd binary to see the name of the Perl binary it was linked to.

    any hints on what to do with the old version?

    Update: meant to say 'what i wanted to hear'. damn 30 hour sessions.

      The old perl files? Delete them. You can remove anything with the old version number in the path.
