jfroebe has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi

I would like to update the meta data (Title, Artist, etc) of Windows Media (wmv and avi) as well as ogm files. I'm looking at possibly using Video-Manip but it seems a bit overkill. Looking on cpan shows lots of extractors of the information, but nothing for solely updating the info.

Does any one have experience with Video-Manip and any gotchas I should worry about?

Maybe you need to write one. I know it's something I'd be interested in! I would suggest taking a look at the various "extractors" you mention and see how they get the information, then it should be fairly easy to put different strings in there.

      Hi Arden,

That's what I was thinking but didn't want to reinvent the wheel if I didn't have too... I'm a lazy SOB at times ;-)
