shimmin has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:
When using a Tk::Text widget on a Win XP platform, various Ctrl-letter combinations insert odd characters (possibly from codepage 850 or 437) into the text box. Is there any way this can be avoided, so that these key combinations can be used by the application for shortcuts?
It does not appear that these key combinations are specifically bound to the text widget, but generally bound with the <Key> binding.
