pbeckingham has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Can anyone recommend a logging utility that is capable of generating W3C Extended Log File Format, yet is flexible enough to handle arbitrary log file formats? I don't see any flexible ones, but maybe one of you knows of one?

Thank you.

logging utility? Any general logging module ought be able to do this. You should take a look at Log::Log4perl

    I run a Win32 PPM repository for perl 5.6.x and 5.8.x -- I take requests (README).
