cgi-error

Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi monks,

Im working with my first cgi script now.

I have got an error.

I have modified the conf files as mentioned in the tutorial and changed my shebang line also. But the error is not getting rectified. im having my printenv.pl file in cgi-bin folder.

the error message is:

403 Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /printenv.pl on this server.

Apache/1.3.23 Server at localhost Port 80

First, you should check the CGI Troubleshooting Guide. You'll probably find the fourth answer useful.	[reply]
