Ok, it's kinda tacky to reply about syntax for a pome, but
... doesn't || have higher precedence, so you'll
always die ("trying")? Might make more sense
if you use "or" instead of ||.
Of course, this could be a deep, cynical kind of pome.

I like the cynical pome theory (and the pome :), the theory implies the poem speaks on two levels:
- The bitter experience of the wary and hardened code-warrior.
- The less clueful code-warrior who would see it as a battle-cry.
I have tested this using perl -de0 and I find no difference juxtaposing || and "or" in this situation. Am I doing something wrong?
My only misgiving is the poem has a file "mind" and it is readable NOT writeable as perhaps an open mind should be. ;)
